The global pandemic, economic dislocation and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement are all having a major impact on what we are looking for in an employer right now. Key to navigating this change successfully is us all feeling a sense of belonging in the organisation, and the importance of belonging in contributing to employee engagement can’t be overstated. At the same time, strategies to ensure employees feel connected to the organisation contribute to employee productivity, talent retention, innovation, customer loyalty and improve the entire workplace environment.

Glint, now part of LinkedIn, tracked the impact of COVID-19 on employee well-being in early 2020, gathering more than 5 million data points, and one of the clearest insights was how grateful employees are for being asked how they’re doing, and what support they need right now.

Despite its importance, insight into employee engagement is often not incorporated into decisions throughout organisations, however — so Ritu will discuss some of the reasons stopping us getting this right. She will also identify practical ways to help the CEO make tough, but necessary cultural shifts a changing world needs right now, to create the proper platform for genuine inclusivity.

Ritu is the leader of Glint’s business development and strategic growth in EMEA. She joined Glint from IBM Kenexa after fifteen years in senior leadership positions. At IBM, she worked with some of the world’s most recognizable organizations to drive rapid revenue growth across the EMEA region. Throughout her career, she has been widely recognized for having peerless CXO relationship skills and an ability to source, partner, win and flawlessly execute complex technology solutions mandates from the largest global organizations. She’s personally led many key projects across a wide range of sectors from Financial Services to Pharma, Industrials and Retail, linking results to overall strategic business goals to drive performance.
Join us as we discuss why employee engagement has to be a priority for all organisations right now
